VENTILATION

Forced ventilation systems in single-family homes are typically used for rooms that have no windows and no external air supply (toilets, bathrooms, etc.). Since it is a relatively small room, the heat losses from the direct outside air supply are low. If you want to ventilate other rooms with a much larger volume, we recommend the use of devices with heat recovery (recuperators).

Ventilation ducts can have different shapes and they can be made of different materials. The construction material depends on the room in which they are located. The standard material is galvanized sheet metal, in addition, they are also made of aluminum sheet and stainless steel. Ducts can also be made from PVC and textiles, but you should pay attention to which fire protection class the building belongs to. The fire protection class is also determined by the material of the duct construction.

Below you will find the dimension table for round ducts and tables for calculating the weight of square ducts. Connection flanges are included in the weight of the square ducts. The above calculation cannot be used as evidence for embedded material.
